Project Objectives

The EuGeLi project has the objective to supply Europe with lithium, a strategic metal, extracted from European geothermal resources. A direct extraction process to valorize lithium will be developed to extract lithium from European brines located at the French/German border. The added-value is to implement the extraction system on existing geothermal well facilities avoiding thus the opening of new mines or the drilling of new geothermal wells.
